Privacy
This page says what this website collects about you, why, and what you can do about it. It is written for a musician's site: a mailing list, a contact form, links to shops and streaming services, and videos you can choose to play.
Fill in before you publish: replace everything in [square brackets], and delete any section that does not apply to your site.
Who runs this site
[Your name or your company's name], [postal address], [email address]. In this policy "we" means [your name].
What we collect, and why
When you just visit. Nothing. This site does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, and it loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. Our web host, [host name, e.g. Cloudflare, Netlify], keeps standard server logs (your IP address, the page asked for, the time) for up to [30] days to keep the site running and safe. We do not look at them unless something breaks.
When you join the mailing list. We ask for your email address and, if you choose, your country and city. We use them to send you news about new music and shows, and to tell you when we play near you. The list is kept by [mailing list provider, e.g. Mailchimp, Kit, Buttondown, Laylo], which stores it for us under its own privacy policy: [link]. We never sell or share the list. Every email has a link to unsubscribe in one click. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
When you write to us. The contact form sends your name, email address and message to [where it goes, e.g. our inbox via Formspree]. We use them only to answer you, and delete them after [12 months] unless we are still talking.
Videos and music players
Videos and music players from YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, Bandcamp, SoundCloud or Mixcloud are not loaded when you open a page. We show a picture and a play button instead. Only when you press play does your browser connect to that service, which may then set cookies and collect data under its own policy. YouTube videos play from youtube-nocookie.com.
Links to other sites
Buttons such as "Tickets", "Pre-save" or "Spotify" take you to other companies' sites (ticket sellers, shops, streaming services). What they collect is covered by their own policies.
"Near you"
Our tour page marks the show nearest to you. It does this inside your browser, using the time zone your device is set to. Your location is never asked for, never sent to us and never stored.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to [email address]. If you are in the EU or the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority: in Portugal, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).
